Independent Living Program

Program Overview

Our Independent Living Program is designed to support young adults in building stability, independence, and life skills while living in a safe, structured, and supportive home environment.

The Independent Living Program provides housing and non-medical support to individuals who are able to live independently but benefit from guidance, structure, and community support. Our approach focuses on empowerment, personal responsibility, and long-term success.

Who We Support

  • Young adults (18+)

  • Individuals transitioning from foster care or family homes

  • Adults seeking stable housing with light support

  • Individuals working toward employment, education, or independent goals

Core Supports Provided

  • Safe, supervised shared or private living arrangements

  • Daily living skill development (cooking, budgeting, hygiene, routines)

  • Goal setting and independent life planning

  • Community integration and social engagement

  • Support with appointments, schedules, and responsibilities

  • Crisis prevention and emotional support (non-clinical)

Life Skills & Independence Focus

Participants are supported to:

  • Develop healthy daily routines

  • Build financial awareness and budgeting skills

  • Maintain their living space responsibly

  • Strengthen communication and decision-making skills

  • Transition toward greater independence over time

Staffing & Oversight

  • Trained support staff provide guidance and supervision

  • Individualized support plans tailored to each participant

  • Clear house expectations and respectful boundaries

  • Ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and progress
